There are moments in life when you realize that everything you’ve been working toward, everything you’ve prayed for, is finally coming to pass. These past two weeks have been one of those moments for me.
Divine Alignment & Representation
I’ve always envisioned myself making more television appearances, using my voice and expertise to empower women and help them step into their most confident selves. I prayed for more opportunities and now, in just two weeks, I’ve had the honor of making two appearances. But here’s the best part—every woman involved in the process, from the producer to the host, was a Black woman.
There was something special about walking into those studios and knowing that the women making things happen behind the scenes looked like me. That wasn’t just a coincidence; that was divine alignment. It was a reminder that when God opens doors, He does it in a way that is meaningful and purposeful.
Being in a space where Black women are leading, creating, and uplifting one another is something truly powerful. It’s a reminder that representation matters—not just for those of us in the industry, but for the young Black girls watching at home, seeing themselves reflected in roles they might have once thought were out of reach.
That’s representation, that excellence, that unity is something I will never take for granted. As a Black woman navigating the world of fashion, image consulting, and media, I understand the importance of visibility. To be in a space where every hand that touched this project looked like me? That was divine alignment.
Preparation Meets Opportunity
This journey has been a testament to the power of faith and preparation. I’ve always believed that when God gives you a vision, He also gives you the tools, the connections, and the timing to bring it to life. This season is proving to me, more than ever, that God doesn’t just give us a vision—He prepares us for it. Looking back, every step I’ve taken in my career, every challenge I’ve overcome, and every lesson I’ve learned has been shaping me for this moment.
I didn’t wake up one day and suddenly land TV appearances. I put in the work…..13 YEARS! I honed my craft. I stayed ready. I kept believing, even when I couldn’t see how it would happen. And that’s the lesson—faith requires action. You have to be willing to put in the effort, to prepare for the opportunities before they come, so that when God says, “It’s time,” you’re ready to step into it.
God Gets All the Glory
God be ALL the glory! This is just the beginning, and I’m walking into this next chapter with gratitude, expectancy, and complete trust in the ONE who made it all possible. I don’t share this just to celebrate—I share this as my testimony and to encourage. Because if you’re reading this and you’ve been waiting for your moment, let me tell you: It’s coming. The dreams you’ve been working toward, the opportunities you’ve been praying for, they are already on their way. Stay faithful. Keep showing up. Keep trusting. Keep refining your craft. Keep believing. Because when God moves, He moves in ways that exceed our expectations. His timing is perfect!!!
